According to Dmitry Kostromin, vice-president of the Russian AvtoVAZ brand in terms of sales and marketing, today buyers are paying for the fact that they themselves “dispersed” the modern car market in terms of prices for transportation.

Answering a series of questions from journalists about the situation in the new vehicle market, Kostromin noted that over the past 6 months, the number of dealers of the national Lada brand has increased. According to the head of AvtoVAZ, dealers of the Russian brand are the only ones that currently make certain investments in car exhibitions.
Kostromin noted that this year Lada car dealers do not have a traditional sales and bonus plan. Companies now only adhere to conditional benchmarks. In the meantime, they need to get back to implementation skills. And buyers today have to pay for the fact that they themselves “dispersed” the market in terms of prices.
It follows that the over-pricing of vehicles has become the reason why consumers are willing to buy a car for almost any amount.
The top executive points out that buyers today are more willing to buy cars at huge prices. In his opinion, car dealers are not to blame for this. According to Kostromin, this affected those special cases where car dealers offer Lada Vesta models at prices from 2,500,000 to 3,000,000 rubles.
The head of AvtoVAZ, in an interview with journalists, also noted that the car brand allowed its dealers to sell vehicles of other brands.
