Head of the GIS Center appointed in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan — News — Forbes Kazakhstan

By order of the Minister of Defense, Medet Dyusembayev was appointed Chairman of the Board of JSC “Kazakhstan GIS Center”, reports the press service of the defense department.

Medet Sharipkhanovich Dyusembaev is a graduate of the Kazakhstan-British Technical University, the Kazakhstan Innovation University in Humanitarian Law, the University of Warwick (UK) and the International Business School of Madrid.

He began his career in 2008 in engineering and technical positions in the petrochemical and oil and gas industries. He was a project manager of the Investment Fund of Kazakhstan JSC, director of the technology transfer center of the National Agency for Technological Development JSC, vice-chairman of the board of directors of the joint-stock company QazTech Ventures, head of the company’s project management team. World Bank and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Engineering and Technology Transfer (now QazInnovations).

Medet Dyusembaev is an expert of the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. In 2019, he was enrolled in the presidential youth staff reserve. Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English. He is currently doing his PhD thesis in the direction of “New Materials Technology” at the Harbin Institute of Technology (China).

Kazakhstan GIS Center JSC develops its activities in such areas as the creation of geographic information systems, as well as cartographic and geodetic production, including the creation of digital maps and GIS products.
