The project “My opportunities” for people with disabilities was developed in the Tula region – News from Tula and the region

On behalf of Governor Alexei Dyumin, the Tula region developed the My Opportunities project for people and children with disabilities. This was said by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the region Anna Domchenko at a press conference, as reported by the press service of the regional government.

As the minister noted, about 140 thousand people and 5 thousand children have disabilities in the Tula region, and a project has been developed to provide them with comprehensive support. It was included in the Program of socio-economic development of the region until 2026.

As part of the project, in 2022 payments to families with disabled children, the amount of financial aid for the purchase of a computer, the repair of premises and compensation for prosthetic and orthopedic products were increased.

The Tula Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled has become an emblematic institution of the regional system of adaptation and social rehabilitation. All municipalities now have “My opportunities” mini-rooms, designed to provide services to people with disabilities. This has made it easier to get some services and improved their quality, for example:

  • accelerated the processing of declarations in the establishment of disability.
